We'd love you to come and spend the week with us in Perast: swimming, eating and soaking up the sunshine.
We understand it's a big ask to travel overseas for an event, so please know there is absolutely no obligation to come.
We also know a whole week isn't possible for everyone. If you can only make it for the main celebration on Saturday 26 June, we'd love to see you there.

Our house
We've booked a six-bedroom house for the week, with space for some couples and singles. The house is adults only. Kids are very welcome at the celebration itself!

Expect sunshine, clear water and epic food (especially seafood). There are restaurants, bars and gelaterie close by, and plenty of adventure to be had around the Bay of Kotor. You're absolutely welcome to head off on your own and explore. Any group activities or communal events, we'll let you know closer to the time!

Getting There
Fly into Tivat TIV
Our recommended airport
Tivat is the closest airport to Perast, roughly 25–30 minutes by car. We can organise a shuttle to collect you from Tivat airport.
Fancy a road trip?
- Dubrovnik, Croatia DBV About 1.5–2 hours by road, including a border crossing (allow extra time in summer).
- Podgorica TGD About 1.5–2 hours by road.

Getting around Perast
Perast town itself is flat, so once you're down by the water it's an easy stroll everywhere. Getting into town means heading down a hill, so if you're staying up on the hill, expect a climb on the way home. Perast is mostly car-free. If you rent a car, there's paid parking up the hill at the edge of town (it can be a bit pricey).
FAQ
Do I need a visa?
Montenegro isn't part of the EU or the Schengen Area. Australian passport holders don't need a visa for short visits (up to 90 days), and time spent in Montenegro doesn't count towards your Schengen days, which is handy if you're combining the trip with Europe. If you're travelling on another passport, please check the entry rules for your nationality.
What currency is used?
Montenegro uses the euro (€).
Is Perast hilly?
Perast town itself is flat. Getting into town is down a hill (and back up again afterwards), and if you stay up on the hill you'll get your steps in. Leaving Perast is hilly… unless you go by sea!
Can I bring my kids?
Kids are very welcome at the celebration! The house we've booked is adults only, so families will need to arrange their own accommodation. Just ask us if you'd like suggestions.
Do I have to come for the whole week?
Not at all. Come for the week, a few days, or just the Saturday celebration. Whatever works for you.
What should I wear?
It's relaxed, but with flair. If you need a theme: Art Deco meets Euro summer chic.

What else is there to do in the area?
Plenty! A few of our favourites around the Bay of Kotor:
- Underwater wine cellar, Kotor: wine aged for a year on the seabed of the bay, with a floating wine bar.
- Kotor cable car: 11 minutes from the sea up to Lovćen National Park, with huge views over the bay.
- Kotor Old Town viewpoint: a lookout over Kotor's old town and the bay.
- Orahovac Beach: a pretty beach a short trip along the bay from Perast.
